James Kim is still missing in Oregon. He and his family were taking a scenic route after the holiday and had car trouble. His wife and kids were found yesterday, but James had gone in search of rescue. James is an editor at CNet, a technology website that I read quite often. It’s hard to believe, as a city boy, that there are still areas in our country that are still so remote. The word is, however, that Kati and the children were found thanks to the triangulation of their cellphone signal. Please keep the Kim family in your prayers as the search continues.

On a better note, the Apple iPhone fervor is heating up again. Kevin “Diggnation” Rose leaked some 3rd+ party information about it on the latest episode. I won’t bore you with too many rumor details, though. Basically, it’ll probably be the size of an iPod Mini, and look about the same. It will probably have a slide-down keypad and use flash memory (4-8GB). Impressed? Meh, not really. It’s one small step toward combining your daily gadgets, though.

In game news, localRitual Entertainment is going through a little employment shake-up. The CEO is going to id Software, and the lead QA is gone. They pretty much lead the charge for episodic content with Sin Episodes, paving the way for Half-Life 2 Episodes, and the upcoming Sam and Max adventure episodes. I’ve never played their games, but I always like cheering for the home team game studios.
