I was taking the kiddo to the nanny’s this morning and my car started beeping at me. I checked the instruments for any warning lights, but there were none. On the way to work, it happened again. Beep beep, but no lights. Then it dawned on me. You see, my car has weight sensors in the seats. If someone is sitting in the seat, they need to be wearing their seatbelt. Well, I had tossed my laptop bag in the seat (along with my Pop Tarts). I’ve done this before and never had a problem. Well, today it exceeded the weight limit and was thinking that someone was in the seat, so it was yelling at them to put their seatbelt on. I tested this at the light by pressing down on the seat a little to trigger the passenger seatbelt light. What’s odd is that even though it had the added weight of the Pop Tarts (a single packet, mind you), I had taken the digital camera out of the bag this weekend. The bag must have just been sitting in the right spot.

Maybe I should use my troubleshooting prowess this morning to fix a few bugs in my software ;)
